How Much Does a 34 Week Baby Weigh

I had a growth scan yesterday as I have GD they didnt explain much so was wondering about the weight my bbay was 34+1 and was 5ibs 1oz approx, is this big for this stage, also he/she had always measured over by 2 weeks, they wernt bothered its just me lol!!

Hi,
I thought around 5lb was normal. My daughter was born at 34+3 at 4lb 4oz and she weighed slightly less than expected. I'm having a growth scan at 34 weeks tomorrow as I have Crohn's so I would be interested to know too :).

Hi Amanda,

This is prob not much help, but DD1 was born 3 weeks early at 37 weeks and she weighed 6lb 3.5oz

My daughter was born at 33+4 and she weighed in at 4lbs 14oz however I knew from being 17 weeks pregnant that she would be arriving anytime after 30 weeks as I was unwell so they told me to eat as much as possible to get a good birth weight!!

at 38 weeks i was told baby was 7lbs and to look on 8lb+ at 40+weeks well they were wriong i had him at 38 weeks 9lbs 2 id rather be told big

i haad my babies at 34 and 35 weeks and they were 4lLB 8 and 4lLB 7 so your baby is a good weight i heard that the last few weeks is when they put on all their weight

My last baby (now 5) was born at 33+4 and 5lb 10oz. I didn't have GD, I just tend to have big babies

I am 36 weeks pregnant with my 3rd and I had a scan today to check babies position and they said she is just over 5lb - I thought tht was quite dinky considering I only have 4 weeks left, cant imagine she is going to put that muc weight on.... but who knows!

I think they out on 0.5ibs a week so will be a petite baby...cute!

my baby was 5lbs 6ozs at 35 week scan and was 7lbs 10ozs at birth which is about average, good luck

My growth scan this morning shows that at 34+2 my baby boy bump weighs around 5.2lb.
